Aberdeen School District preschool and kindergarten registration for the 2014-2015 school year will begin Tuesday, March 18. Parents should register preschool students at the Hopkins Preschool Office, 1313 Pacific Avenue, and kindergarten students at their neighborhood school.
Registration will take place during regular school hours, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Each school also has one evening registration until 7.: Hopkins Preschool and Stevens Elementary — Tuesday, March 18; Robert Gray and McDermoth Elementary — Wednesday, March 19; A J West Elementary — Thursday, March 20 and Central Park Elementary — Monday, March 31.
To complete registration, parents will need to bring the child’s proof of age such as a birth certificate or passport, immunization records, proof of residency, which could be a utility bill with current address and emergency contact information.
Preschool offers several options for four-year-old children born on or before Aug. 31, 2010. Options include two half-days per week at no cost, an additional two half-days with tuition of $50 or four half-days at no cost for families that qualify by income.
Kindergarten is available for five-year-old children born on or before Aug. 31, 2009. Classes are located at Central Park (538-2170), Stevens (538-2150), McDermoth (538-2120), Robert Gray (538-2140) and A. J. West (538-2130).
