The Executive Director of the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority, Les Bolton has won a scholarship to attend the Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute in March.
The Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute is offered through Cascade Executive Programs and the Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits &Philanthropy at the University of Washington Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs. It is a six-day intensive residential program covering the strategic leadership skills necessary for managing a sustainable organization.
Washington Nonprofits awarded Bolton a scholarship to cover 50 percent of the attendance fee of $3,250. He also received an additional $500 check toward the cost from a local supporter, Bolton said.
“Washington Nonprofits is proud to support individuals like Les who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend (the institute). Les was selected based on his vision for himself and his organization, his dedication to increasing his own leadership skills and his commitment to bring the ‘learnings’ from (the institute) back to his community,” the release said.
