Looking Back — Downtown Hoquiam

This aerial view of Hoquiam in the 1920s shows the old 8th Street Bridge over the Hoquiam River and the main business section of downtown. With the exception of the old bank building (and its next door neighbor) at the foot of the bridge, this whole area is completely different today. Most of the buildings are gone or replaced, many as a result of the urban renewal that took place in the late 1960s.
