Quilt show at Raymond church Friday and Saturday

Raymond First Baptist Church will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1 and 2, to show the cathedral-style stained glass window covers made by Dorothy Gruginski, the featured quilter for the 2014 “Quilts on the Willapa” show.

Many of Gruginski’s other quilt projects will be on display at the main location for the quilt show, the stage at Raymond High School Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The show also features items by other quilters in the area. Three vendors also will be on the premises: Quilt Harbor of Aberdeen, Quilters’ Junction of Centralia and Cathy’s Classy Quilts of Rochester. Cathy’s Classy Quilts will demonstrate a HandiQuilter machine and Quilt Harbor will provide sewing machine maintenance during the show.
