United Christian honors pastor
The board and church membership of the United Christian Church in Aberdeen has honored the Rev. John Adam Fischer, who retired as Senior Pastor in February of this year, with the honorary title of Pastor Emeritus for his faithful serving of the Lord and the church family for 14 years. His was the longest pastorate of any clergy in the over 110 year history of either the Hoquiam or Aberdeen Christian Churches, now the United Christian Church on Grays Harbor.
The church also recognizes the significant contributions of Sue Fischer, his wife, in the areas of Christian Education, missions, and Women’s Ministry at the church.
Pastor Fischer will be doing more Christian writing in his retirement including contributing a devotional, quiet-time blog with the address of www.reflectionsoutoftime.wordpress.com that is now available for viewing.
