Vacation Bible School

United Christian Church

Vacation Bible School for kids ages 5 through 12 will be held 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 14 through 18. Lunch is provided.

South Aberdeen Baptist Church’s VBS is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m., July 14-18 for children 5 years old through 5th grade. For more information, call 268-6156.

Calvary Lutheran will offer “Winning the Battle” from 5:30 to 8 p.m., July 28 to Aug. 1 for ages preschool to 6th grade. For more information, call 532-3980.

Amazing Grace Lutheran

Worship is at 10 a.m., Sunday. Communion is celebrated every Sunday.

Calvary Lutheran

Adult Bible study and Sunday school for ages 4 through high school begin at 9 a.m. with worship at 10. Pastor Dan Vines will deliver the message, “Scattering Seeds.” Nursery care is offered.

“Living Safe and Sound — in Peaceful and Turbulent Times” is the title of the Christian Science Sentinel radio program at 9 a.m., Sunday, on KBKW 1450 AM and 94.7 FM. “Sacrament” is the topic of this week’s lesson sermon. Sunday service and Sunday school, begin at 10 a.m.

The Glory Center

Worship is at 10 a.m., Sunday.

Harbor City

Pre-service prayer begins at 8:15 Sunday morning, followed by the morning service at 9:45. Pastor Doug Cotton will continue his series on “Waging Offensive Warfare.” Nursery care for children to age 2 is offered as well as “City Kids,” the children’s ministry for ages 3-12.

Heritage Family Church

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship at 10:30. Pastor Christensen’s message is, “The Rose of Sharon.” Kid’s Zone for ages 4 through grade school meets during the message time.

The weekly TV program airs, Monday and Tuesday, at 8:30 p.m., and 10 a.m. on Wednesday on Cable Channel 20.

New Beginnings Open Bible

Weekly services are at 10 a.m Sundays. Nursery is available for children under 3 years and children’s church for preschool-age through 12 years.

Promise Fellowship

Bible class is at 4 p.m., Sunday followed by the main worship service at 4:30.

Salvation Army

Sunday school is at 10 a.m. followed by worship at 11 every Sunday.

The annual church picnic at Friends Landing is Sunday. The sing-a-long begins at 11 a.m., followed by a devotion by Pastor Truett Johnson. Pot luck to follow.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal

Mass is celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. every Sunday and 5:15 p.m., every Wednesday. Sunday school and nursery care are at 9:30 Sunday mornings.

St. Mary’s Catholic

Mass is celebrated at 9 a.m., Monday, Wednesday and Sunday; Spanish Mass 5 p.m., Sunday.

(Disciples of Christ)

Adult Sunday school meets at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday. Worship is at 10:45 with Pastor Jeff Johnson. Kidz church meets during the sermon.

United Methodist

Sunday’s service at 10:50 tomorrow morning will be using scripture and music from Romans 8:1-11 and Matther 13:1-9 and 18-23. Child care is available.


Central Park Baptist

Sunday school for all ages begins at 10, followed by morning worship at 11 with Pastor Marques delivering the message. Evening worship begins at 6.

Central Park Neighborhood

Adult Sunday school is at 9:30 tomorrow morning, followed by worship at 11. Children’s church is offered for ages 3-12. Rev. Ernie Salinas, an evangelist from Longview, will be speaking during the 6 p.m. service, Sunday. Nursery care for those up to age 4 is available.

Church of Christ

Sunday morning Bible classes are at 10 a.m. for ages 2 and older. Sunday worship services are held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Central Park United Methodist

Richard Holmes, serving as pastor, will give the sermon tomorrow morning at 10:30.


Faith Lutheran

Sunday school for all ages is at 9 a.m. Worship including communion begins at 10.

St. Luke Episcopal

Sunday morning worship including Eucharist is at 10 a.m.


Baha’i Faith

An interfaith devotional gathering is held every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Hoquiam Timberland Library.

Church of the Nazarene

Sunday school for all ages is at 9:45. Associate Pastor Linda Kim will bring the message during the 10:45 service Sunday. Child care is provided. Evening Fellowship is at 6.

First Presbyterian

Service begins at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jeani Shofner leading worship.

Saron Lutheran

During the 10 a.m. service Sunday, the sermon will look at the letter of 1st John.

United Methodist

Worship service begins at 10:30 with Pastor Kathryn Garnett preaching “Water and the Word.” The baptism of two children will be celebrated. The church is handicapped accessible and childcare is provided from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.

Our Lady of Good Help Catholic

Mass is celebrated at noon, Tuesday; 9 a.m., Friday, 5 p.m., Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday


Humptulips Valley

Bible study will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday followed by worship at 11.


Church of God

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 a.m., followed by worship at 10. Children ages 5 to 12 are dismissed to KFC (Kids for Christ) before the sermon. Nursery care is available during worship.

Morning worship begins with a hymn-sing at 9:50 Sunday morning. The message will be from Psalms119:105-112 and Romans 8:1-11.

Sunday morning services are at 9:30 and 11:15. Sunday school for nursery through high school ages is available during the first service with nursery and preschool care available during the second service.
