Bible Study Outreach begins new session

Bible Study Outreach will resume its weekly meetings next month with a series of 22 lessons on the book of John.

The interdenominational group of women from throughout East County have been studying selected books of the Bible for over 36 years.

The studies are held from 9:30-10:45 a.m., Wednesdays beginning Sept. 3, at Faith Lutheran Church in Elma.

Amazing Grace Lutheran

Worship is at 10 a.m., Sunday. Communion is celebrated every Sunday.

Calvary Lutheran

Adult Bible study and Sunday school for ages 4 through high school begin at 9 a.m. with worship at 10. Pastor Luke Kastner will deliver the message. Nursery care is offered.


Pastor Larry Dublanko will speak on “Mercy Amid Judgment” during the 10:30 service Sunday morning.

“With God All Things are Possible” is the title of the Christian Science Sentinel radio program at 9 a.m., Sunday, on KBKW 1450 AM and 94.7 FM. Sunday service and Sunday school, begin at 10 a.m. and the lesson sermon will be “Mind”

First Presbyterian

During the 10 a.m. service, Pastor Doug Basler will continue his series on “Many Stories One Story,” this week based on Esther. Children dismissed for Sunday school before sermon time.

The Glory Center

Worship is at 10 a.m., Sunday.

Harbor Calvary Chapel

Ron Smith of Olympia will speak at the 9 and 11 a.m. services Sunday. Childcare is provided at the second service.

Harbor City

Pre-service prayer 9:15 Sunday morning, followed by worship at 9:45. Pastor Doug Cotton’s sermon will be “What Success Looks Like to God.” Nursery care for children to age 2, , “City Kids,” the children’s ministry for ages 3-12.

Heritage Family Church

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship at 10:30. Pastor Christensen’s message is entitled, “How to Stay Patient in the Storm.” Kid’s Zone for ages 4 through grade school meets during the message time.

The weekly TV program airs, Monday and Tuesday, at 8:30 p.m., and 10 a.m. on Wednesday on Cable Channel 20.

New Beginnings Open Bible

Weekly services are at 10 a.m Sundays. Nursery available for children under 3, children’s church for preschool-age through 12 years.

Promise Fellowship

Bible class is at 4 p.m., Sunday followed by the main worship service at 4:30.

Salvation Army

Sunday school is at 10 a.m. followed by worship at 11 every Sunday.

South Aberdeen Baptist

Adult Bible study and Sunday school classes for children and teens will take place at 9:45 a.m. During the 11 a.m. service, Pastor Truett Johnson’s sermon will be “Are You Ready for Heaven?” Children’s church for age 5 through 4th grade takes place during the message time. Childcare for newborns through age 4 is available at both services.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal

Mass is celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. every Sunday and 5:15 p.m., every Wednesday. Sunday school and nursery care are at 9:30 Sunday mornings.

(Disciples of Christ)

Adult Sunday school meets at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday. Worship is at 10:45 with Pastor Jeff Johnson. Kidz church meets during the sermon.

United Methodist

Praise singing and worship at 10:50 Sunday morning. Pastor Gordon Schnee’s lessons will be “One Body in Christ,” and “Revealed by the Father.” Child care available.

St. Mary’s Catholic

Mass is celebrated at 9 a.m., Monday, Wednesday and Sunday; Spanish Mass 5 p.m., Sunday


Central Park Baptist

Sunday school for all ages at 10, followed by morning worship at 11 with Pastor David Marques delivering the message.

Central Park Neighborhood

Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. with Sunday school for adults at 9:30 a.m. Children’s church for ages 3-12, is at 11 a.m. Nursery care for those up to age 4 is available.

Sunday morning Bible classes are at 10 a.m. for ages 2 and older. Sunday worship services are held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Grays Harbor Foursquare

Pastor Sean Jamieson will preach this Sunday during the 10 a.m. service. Childcare and Sunday school classes are available for infant through sixth graders during the morning service.

Central Park United Methodist

Richard Holmes, serving as pastor, will give the sermon Sunday morning at 11.


Faith Lutheran

Sunday school for all ages is at 9 a.m. Worship, including, communion at 10.

Sunday morning worship, including Eucharist, at 10 a.m.


Twin Harbors Lutheran

Worship at 10 Sunday morning. The liturgy states the church will be built on the rock of Peter’s bold confession of faith.


Baha’i Faith

Interfaith devotional gathering is held every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Hoquiam Timberland Library.

Church of the Nazarene

Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. Linda Kim will bring the morning message, What is Worship during the 10:45 a.m. service tomorrow. Judy Rollins will give a missionary message at the 6 p.m. evening fellowship hour.

First Presbyterian

Service at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jeani Shofner leading worship.

Immanuel Baptist

Grammy award winner Sherman Andrus and Lonny Bingle will present a time of ministry and music during the 10 a.m. service Sunday.

Saron Lutheran

Worship is at 10 Sunday morning. The sermon will look at Ruth, chapter 3.

Following worship a family reunion barbecue is planned.

United Methodist

A reconciling worship service begins at 10:30 Sunday morning with Pastor Garnett preaching, “When Faith Falters.” Childcare is provided from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.
