Northwest Life Center House of Prayer will host a free carnival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., today. Games, a dunk tank, live performances, plus food, raffles and drawings are planned.

The church is located at 215 N. 3rd in Elma.


Shores Fellowship Church will host recording artists Keepers of the Faith at a concert at 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 3, at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. A free will offering will be taken.

Vacation Bible School

Grays Harbor Foursquare Church’s VBS “MEGA Sports Camp” will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Aug. 4-8 for students who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. Registration is open now.

Kids can chose between soccer, basketball, baseball, fastpitch, flag football and cheerleading.

Amazing Grace Lutheran

Adult Bible study and Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. followed by worship at 10. Pastor Dan Vines will deliver the message, “They All Ate and Were Satisfied.” Nursery care is offered.


Pastor Larry Dublanko will be speaking on “Joy on the Morning” during the 10:30 service tomorrow morning.

First Church of Christ, Scientist

“Burden-free living” is the title of the Christian Science Sentinel radio program at 9 a.m., Sunday, on KBKW 1450 AM and 94.7 FM. “Love” is the topic of this week’s lesson sermon. Sunday service and Sunday school, begin at 10 a.m.

First Presbyterian

During the 10 a.m. service, Pastor Doug Basler will complete his sermon series “Gospel, Family, Mission.” Children will be dismissed for Sunday school before sermon time.

The Glory Center

Worship is at 10 a.m., Sunday.

Harbor Calvary Chapel

Pastor/Teacher Sean Hollen will speak on “Giving and Receiving” at the 9 and 11 a.m. services Sunday. Childcare and van service are provided at the second service.

Feasting on the Word will be presented at 10 a.m., Sunday morning on 1320 KXRO AM.

Harbor City

Pre-service prayer begins at 9:15 Sunday morning, followed by the service at 9:45. The sermon this week is “Heaven is for Real.”

Nursery care for children to age 2 is offered as well as “City Kids,” the children’s ministry for ages 3-12.

Adult Bible study is at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship at 10:30. Pastor Christensen will give the message. Kid’s Zone for ages 4 through grade school meets during the message time.

New Beginnings Open Bible

Weekly services are at 10 a.m Sundays. Nursery is available for children under 3 years and children’s church for preschool-age through 12 years.

Bible class is at 4 p.m., Sunday followed by the main worship service at 4:30.

South Aberdeen Baptist

Adult Bible study and Sunday school classes for children and teens will take place at 9:45 a.m. During the 11 a.m. service, Pastor Truett Johnson’s sermon will be “Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life.” Children’s church for age 5 through 4th grade takes place during the message time. Childcare for newborns through age 4 is available at both services. Bonnie and Dale Kaurin will provide special music and communion will be served.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal

Mass is celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. every Sunday and 5:15 p.m., every Wednesday. Sunday school and nursery care are at 9:30 Sunday mornings.

(Disciples of Christ)

Adult Sunday school meets at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday. Worship is at 10:45 with Pastor Jeff Johnson. Kidz church meets during the sermon.

United Methodist

Praise singing and worship begin at 10:50 tomorrow morning. Pastor Gordon Schnee’s lessons will be “Wrestling with God” and “Eating with God.” Child care is available. Communion will be celebrated.

Mass is celebrated at 9 a.m., Monday, Wednesday and Sunday; Spanish Mass 5 p.m., Sunday


Central Park Baptist

Sunday school for all ages begins at 10, followed by morning worship at 11 with Pastor Marques delivering the message. Evening worship begins at 6.

Central Park Neighborhood

Sunday services are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with Sunday school for adults at 9:30 a.m. Children’s church for ages 3-12, is at 11 a.m. Nursery care for those up to age 4 is available.

Sunday morning Bible classes are at 10 a.m. for ages 2 and older. Sunday worship services are held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Richard Holmes, serving as pastor, will give the sermon tomorrow morning at 11.


Faith Lutheran

Sunday school for all ages is at 9 a.m. Worship including communion begins at 10.
