Series of workshops could help people with chronic illnesses

Sea Mar Community Health Centers, in collaboration with The Olympic Area Agency on Aging, has scheduled a series of free workshops open to the public, “Living Well With Chronic Conditions,” to be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., every Monday, from March 3 through April 7.

The workshops, held in the conference room at Sea Mar, 1813 Sumner Ave. in Aberdeen, will be taught by two trained leaders.

This program is designed to help individuals who suffer from a chronic condition, including diabetes, asthma, heart disease, chronic pain, arthritis, hypertension and others to lessen their stress and frustration, manage symptoms and deal with fatigue.

Those caring for a loved one with a chronic condition may benefit from the workshops also.

Space for the workshop is limited so those interested should register early. For more information and registration, call 538-2457 or 1-866-582-1487.

The meeting site is accessible to persons with disabilities. Reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities can be arranged with advance seven day notice.
