PARKINSON’S SUPPORT GROUP: Meets the last Tuesday of the month, 6 to 7 p.m., at the Hoquiam Library downstairs meeting room, 420 Seventh St. The next meeting is scheduled for March 28. This is a support group for those with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers to share common experiences, suggestions for exercise and diet, resource ideas, and enjoy companionship. EXERCISE PROGRAMS: Stay Active and Independent for Life (S.A.I.L.) exercise program is a series of low-impact, fun, affordable exercise classes for seniors to assist in mobility, increase muscle strength and prevention of falls. Small weights and exercise equipment will be furnished. The classes, taught by qualified SAIL instructors and in collaboration with the Olympic Area Agency on Aging, are located at the following sites: Aberdeen Senior Center at the Aberdeen Museum of History, 111 E. GRAYS HARBOR COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FALL PREVENTION PROGRAM: Is sponsoring a “strength &balance” training for individuals 55 or older.
