Aberdeen Wishkah Home & Community Educators (HCE) have scheduled a meeting, party and potluck dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the home of Joan Julius to make plans for the January HCE council meeting and the club banquet in January.

Used books are available at the Elma Timberland Library during regular library hours. Hosted by the Friends of the Elma Timberland Library, the cost is $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks.

Gen James H. Doolittle VFW Post 3057 and Auxiliary will host a children’s Christmas party at noon, Saturday, Dec. 21 at the post for ages birth to 12. Lunch will be served and there will be, a visit and photos with Santa plus gifts for those attending. Children must be accompanied by a parent. The post is located at 211 E. Pacific in Westport.
