Shakespeare to be performed at three locations on Harbor

Aberdeen Shakespearean Theatre will present “Pieces of Shakespeare” at three locations on the Harbor this month.

Elma resident Jeff Ryser will perform a monologue from “Hamlet.” There will also be “work shopping” pieces from “The Merry Wives of Windsor.”

“Work shopping” is a theater term used in preparing new plays for the stage. The actors read the play aloud and the audience makes suggestions of changes that can be made in the acting, directing or writing. There will also be opportunities for audience members to come and perform roles onstage.

All performance are at 2 p.m.: Today at Sam Benn Park in Aberdeen, Saturday, July 17, at Central Park playfield and Saturday, July 24, in Westport near the docks.
