Former Aberdeen resident Brian Ford and Serena Ding, formerly of Shanghai, China are engaged.
The groom-to-be is the son of Mark and Sharon Ford of Aberdeen. He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 2005 and from Saint Martin’s University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from the Michigan State University Eli Broad Graduate School of Management in Lansing, Mich. He plans to graduate in May and start a career with ExxonMobil.
The bride-to-be is the daughter if Ying Ding and Hongping Shi of Shanghai, China. She graduated from Saint Martin’s University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is currently pursuing a master of human resources and labor relations degree at Michigan State University in Lansing and plans to spend her summer interning at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati.
The couple has not set their wedding date.
