A 23-year-old Aberdeen man was arrested Thursday night after allegedly burglarizing a home, the Aberdeen Police Department said.
Officers responded to a home on the 100 block of East 10th Street at 5:27 p.m. after residents came home and interrupted the burglary. A man ran from the scene and was chased by home owners. The man then drove away in his white Honda.
Officers located the car, which was left parked and unattended about three-fourths of a mile away from the victims’ home. Aberdeen Police K-9 team, which consists of Officer Steve Timmons and Titus, searched the area. The vehicle was impounded.
The suspect was located on West 9th Street at 7:27 p.m. He was arrested for residential burglary and two unrelated Aberdeen Municipal Court warrants for malicious mischief.
