Aberdeen Police seek Christmas Day robbers

The Aberdeen Police Department is searching for two men suspected of robbing a man at knifepoint Christmas Day.

Officers responded at about 7:20 p.m. to the Jack in the Box restaurant on East Heron Street, where a man told them he had been walking north on the Chehalis River Bridge when two men came from the base of the bridge and demanded money.

The victim reported that when they displayed a knife, he surrendered his wallet and the men ran toward the Swanson’s store in South Aberdeen.

A K-9 unit was called in, but was unable to locate the suspects.

One was described as a white man about 6 feet tall, heavy-set and about 55 years old with medium-length gray hair. He was wearing a camouflage jacket, camouflage backpack and blue jeans.

The other was also a white man, about 5-foot-9, thin build and about 55 years old.

He was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

The investigation is ongoing.
