A boat on the Hoquiam River broke free from its moorings this morning and got stuck against the Riverside Bridge.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Russ Winger said locals and the boat’s owner pulled it free from the bridge.
State Department of Transportation crews arrived around 7:30 a.m. to inspect the bridge, spokeswoman Cara Mitchell said.
“They found no structural damage to the bridge and it is operating normally,” she said.
One navigation light was broken when the boat hit, Mitchell added, but a temporary replacement has already been installed and a permanent one has been ordered. The Coast Guard was also on scene inspecting the bridge this morning.
