The local version of Comcast Cares, the cable giant’s volunteer weekend to help a regional non-profit, will focus on Seaport Landing at the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority next month.
Employees, their families, and friends of Comcast in Grays Harbor and Pacific County are welcome to help on April 26-27. The authority is lining up several critical projects that will help prepare for the return of tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain, June 5.
Tasks concern a railing on the Seaport Landing pier, picnic tables, vegetation removal on the Chehalis River shoreline, and clean-up of the former Weyerhaeuser sawmill buildings.
Volunteering is also open to the public, the fun begins at 8 a.m. both days. Please come to the Seaport Landing’s main entrance at 500 N. Custer St. in South Aberdeen. More information can be found on the Seaport Landing web page.
