The Grays Harbor County Commissioners approved three amendments to the county’s contract with the state Department of Social and Health Services Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery for the operation of Grays Harbor Regional Support Network during the commissioners regularly scheduled meeting Monday afternoon.
The Regional Support Network is the fiscal agent for publicly funded mental health treatment programs in Grays Harbor County.
The first two amendments continued the contract between the county and DSHS, which will bring in about $1.8 million in state funds and $6.5 million for the delivery of outpatient mental health treatment programs, crisis services and prepayment for inpatient claims. The third amendment to the contract with DSHS extends the contract to June 30, 2015, and adds an additional $874,138 for the provision of chemical dependency treatment, prevention and support services.
In addition to the amendments, the commissioners authorized the Fair, Events and Tourism Manager to sign a use agreement for the fairgrounds with the Montesano High School Equestrian team for events in January, February and March and a use agreement for the I-5 Quarter Midget Play Day on Jan. 11.
During a time for public comment one citizen asked the commissioners if there had been a selection for the position of prosecuting attorney.
Commission Chairman Frank Gordon said the commissioners were waiting for an opinion from Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson before a decision would be made on the position.
