Dredge scow Liberty temporarily moored at Seaport Landing

Been wondering why a large barge is tied up at Seaport Landing under the old Weyerhaeuser chip loader across from Morrison Riverfront Park?

“American Construction, the company dredging the harbor, needed some short-term moorage for one of their dredge scows,” said Capt. Les Bolton, executive director of the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority Monday.

“There is no shore access or activity involved, (it’s) just a temporary tie up.”
