Elma kids boutique opens March 1

Dianna Beste says she hopes to make shopping for kids’ clothes a fun, local experience with Besties Boutique.

The shop, located at 322 W. Main St. in Elma, will showcase hand-crafted clothing and accessories alongside general off-the-rack necessities.

The shop features hand-made, dollhouse-style shelving and a fun theme to make shopping an experience for kids and parents.

“It’s a one-of-a-kind kid experience,” Beste said. “We also have a little playroom so the kids can play while the moms shop.”

The former owner of Rowdy Rhinestones women’s boutique, Beste said she sold the shop to focus on her new interest inspired by her own kids, a 2-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl.

“I’m way more into children’s clothing right now. I’m more interested in them looking cute than me looking cute,” she said.

Apparel is available from newborn to about age 12, with a mix of boys’ and girls’ attire.

“It’s definitely half and half, and I get very nice new clothes. None of it’s going to be consignment or second-hand,” Beste said.

The store’s grand opening is set for March 1. Hours will be Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call the store at 360-482-0088.
