RAYMOND— Got a great selfie, a picture everyone swears is the ugliest thing they have ever seen or a fine piece of photographic art?
If you do, the Willapa Heritage Foundation would love to see you submit your photographic treasure to the People’s Choice Photo Show that will be held during the Willapa Harbor Festival, Aug. 1 through Aug. 3 in Raymond.
All submitted photographs will be displayed at the ARC Photography Studio at 337 3rd Ave. in Raymond and everyone is invited to stop in and vote for their favorite photograph throughout the entire festival.
• All entries must be original photographs taken by the contributor.
• There are two classifications, black and white or color.
• One entry per classification from the same contributor will be accepted.
• All photos must be framed and ready to hang.
• On the back of your entry, you must include your name, phone number, address and the classification to which the photo belongs.
Please drop off entries July 25 through July 31 at Jensen Furniture, 209 Duryea Street in Raymond, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., or at the South Bend Library Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entries can also be dropped off on Friday, Aug. 1, between noon and 1 p.m. at ARC Photography.
If you are unable to deliver your photos during these times, please call 360- 942-3677.
The winners will be announced on Sunday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. Each winner will receive not only bragging rights, but also a cash prize of $30.
Entries need to be reclaimed on Sunday, Aug. 3, between 2 and 3 p.m.
Photos not claimed or arrangements not made to pick them up by that time will become the property of the Willapa Heritage Foundation.
The more pictures entered, the more fun everyone has choosing the winners. We need to get some friendly competition going, so make sure your family and friends submit their photos and get to the show to vote for that great selfie, artistic photo, or the picture of grandma’s pig! Let’s have some fun with this show.
