Escaped Olympic Corrections Center inmate back in custody

A Washington State Department of Corrections inmate who escaped from the Olympic Corrections Center is back in custody, the Washington State Depatment of Corrections reported.

Inmate Aaron R. Brown III, of Snohomish County, arrived at the Olympic Corrections Center, a minimum-security facility located 27 miles from Forks, on Aug. 13 after previously being incarcerated at the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton since June 27 on a drug possession conviction.

Before escaping, Brown had last been seen in the Olympic Corrections Center’s dining hall at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. He was apprehended about 10 miles north of the corrections center by Washington State Department of Corrections staff at about 9:30 a.m. Friday.
