A 59-year-old Humptulips man accused of firing a gun in his home with his wife, daughter and grandchildren nearby was in Grays Harbor Superior Court Monday.
Danny C. Jones pleaded not guilty to second-degree domestic violence assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
At about 9:15 p.m. Dec. 23, Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a home on Forbes Lane where shots were reportedly fired.
Family members reported Jones was agitated and came home looking for his gun, according to court documents. He then started firing shots outside the house, at the ground, then inside at the television and other items around the house.
Jones left the home before deputies arrived but returned shortly after they searched the house.
Jones is held in Grays Harbor County Jail with $50,000 bail.
