Washington State Republican Party Chairwoman Susan Hutchison will headline the Grays Harbor Republican’s annual Lincoln Day dinner on Saturday.
The Lincoln Day Dinner event is set for Saturday, Feb. 8, with a social period at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The event will be conducted at the D&R Theatre’s event center, 122 E. Heron St. in Aberdeen. To reserve a ticket, call (360) 500-9548.
Master of ceremonies will be Seattle Port Commissioner Bill Bryant. Bryant, who has served on the Port Commission since 2007, has been talked about as a potential candidate for governor.
Hutchison, a former KIRO-TV evening news anchor and one-time political candidate, was elected to the state party’s top leadership post last year. Hutchison is the winner of five Emmy awards for producing, writing, and reporting news and documentaries, according to a posted biography.
In 2009, Hutchison ran for King County executive and finished with about 40 percent of the vote, losing to Dow Constantine.
“I think both will be very interesting speakers and may draw non-Republicans to our event as well,” Grays Harbor Republican Chairwoman Beth DeVaul wrote in an email.
The Lincoln Day Dinner event is also a celebration of local Republicans, with several awards issued and a silent auction.
