Lady Washington to add centennial celebration sail to Westport


The Lady Washington has added a trip to help the City of Westport celebrate its 100th birthday June 27-29.

The official state ship will offer walk-on tours and a Fireworks Sail.

Westport was incorporated on June 26, 1914. The ship will also appear at Rusty Scupper Pirate Daze in Westport June 20-22.

Here’s the ship’s schedule:

June 27: 11:30 a.m., arrival of Lady Washington at Westport Marina

Noon to 5 p.m., walk-on tours, $3 donation per person requested

June 28: Noon to 5 p.m., walk-on tours, $3 donation per person requested

June 29: 8 a.m., Lady Washington returns to her home port at Seaport Landing in Aberdeen.
