Man’s body discovered near homeless camp in Aberdeen; foul play not suspected

Aberdeen police have identified the man whose body was found in a brushy area near a homeless camp in Aberdeen Monday afternoon as 39-year-old Frederick William Meier. He was known to be a transient.

The body was discovered at the end of Marion Street next to the Chehalis River. Nothing at the scene suggested that foul play was involved, said Capt. John Green.

Meier’s family has been notified and an autopsy is planned.
