Ocean Shores resident Bill Messenger has been appointed by Gov. Jay Inslee to the Grays Harbor County Boundary Review Board. The board is in charge of providing an independent look at annexations between the county and cities.

Messenger is a labor liaison working for the Washington State Labor Council. Prior to that, he worked in the power house of the Cosmopolis Pulp Mill before Weyerhaeuser closed it down and Cosmo Specialty Fibers re-opened it.

The term for the appointment goes until Jan. 31, 2015.
