Missing Rhode Island boy may be in Washington

The Washington State Patrol announced today that a missing Rhode Island boy may be in Washington.

An Amber Alert was issued for 6-year-old Daniel Britt yesterday by the Rhode Island State Police. Britt is believed to have gone missing between Jan. 7 and 9.

He’s believed to be with his non-custodial mother, Andria Britt, 34. Andria Britt missed a custody hearing in Rhode Island and a judge determined there was a risk of immediate harm to the child.

No Amber Alert has been issued in Washington, but the Rhode Island State Police contacted the State Patrol with information Britt may be in Washington in a vehicle with Washington plates.

Andria Britt is described as a white woman, 5-foot-5, with brown hair and brown eyes. Daniel Britt is described as white, 4-foot-3, 50 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The possible vehicles associated are a gray 1992 Chevrolet Astro Van with Washington registration ABR1512, and a red Ford Focus with Rhode Island registration 942649.
