One lane of the two-lane North River Road at milepost 8.5 near Vesta opened late Monday morning. Both lanes were closed earlier due to a mudslide, Deputy Director Chuck Wallace of Grays Harbor County Emergency Management said Monday.
“We just heard from the road crews,” Wallace said just before 11 a.m. The road will be reopened fully “well before the end of the day,” he added.
Grays Harbor County road crews are working to reopen the road, which runs south from Highway 101.
