No one was injured in when defective brakes led to a rollover collision in Central Park this afternoon, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Wyatt R. Carter, 19, of Oakville, was headed eastbound on State Route 12 near Solki Road at about 1 p.m. Thursday. When he tried to slow for traffic, he was unable to stop and swerved to the right, striking a curb, which caused his pickup truck to roll.
The truck came to a rest in the 7-Eleven parking lot, back on all four tires, just between a tanker semi-truck and its attached tanker trailer.
The State Patrol said the cause of the incident was defective brakes on Carter’s truck. Charges are still under investigation.
