The Montesano Community Education Program is offering a crime prevention and personal safety seminar developed by the National Rifle Association. Called “Refuse To Be A Victim,” the seminar will be offered on May 10, and again June 14, at Montesano Timberland Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The seminar costs $30 to attend, plus a $5 fee to Montesano Community Education Program.
Pre-registration is required. To register, contact Monica Cowles at 360-532-2132 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The program was developed by the NRA in 1993. Organizers say it teaches methods to avoid dangerous situations and prevent criminal confrontations. Seminar topics address personal safety issues as well as home, automobile, telephone, technological, and travel security.
