Aberdeen’s promised citywide meeting is set for the evening of Monday, March 17 at 6:30 at the high school, Mayor Bill Simpson said Tuesday.
The meeting was originally set for mid-January and was delayed to February, then March. The citywide meeting was promised by Simpson after a series of ward meetings were held in late fall.
City officials will be on hand to meet with citizens, he said. “We’re looking for input,” he said. “We will also tell them what the city is doing and go from there.”
The ward meetings were concerned mainly with crime, drugs, panhandling and the condition of the downtown area.
