“Sew-in” set for May 3

Pieceful Discoverers Quilt Guild will host “Pillow Case and Fleece Blankets Sew-In” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 3, at the Cosmopolis Fire Hall.

Lots of volunteers are needed — those who can bring their own sewing machines, those who can cut fabric and do some ironing — all are invited.

The pillow cases will be donated to pediatric patients at Grays Harbor Community Hospital and the blankets will go to the chemo unit at the hospital as well as to Radiantcare Radiation Oncology on Basich Blvd. in Aberdeen.

Attendees are invited to bring their own lunch or order from the Luna Rana.

For more information, call 267-0219.

“Join us for a fun day to give back to those in the community with special needs,” says Carolyn Douglas, of Pieceful Discoverers.
