The Aberdeen Police Department has arrested the man who allegedly shot a 19-year-old Aberdeen man in the leg Friday night.
Daniel Galeana-Ramirez, 20, of Aberdeen was arrested for second-degree assault Wednesday afternoon at a home near West Huntley Street and Harding Road. An anonymous tip led police to the home, which they surrounded at about 2:20 p.m.
Galeana-Ramirez came out and surrendered just more than an hour later. He was taken into custody without further incident. Police remained on scene into the evening waiting for a search warrant to search the house where he was found.
The 19-year-old man told police he was walking in the 800 block of East 2nd Street with two other people when Galeana-Ramirez, whom he knew, came out of a house. They exchanged words, then Galeana-Ramirez allegedly displayed a gun and shot him.
