A South Bend man who crashed into a tree during a medical emergency has died, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Vilath Nhotsoubanh, 56, was heading north on Highway 101 at about 9 a.m. June 21 when his car left the roadway and hit a tree. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, but the State Patrol reported Sunday night he had died.
Trooper Russ Winger said a medical examiner has not yet determined whether injuries from the crash or the medical event caused Nhotsoubanh’s death.
Two family members, a 32-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy, were also injured in the crash and taken to Willapa Harbor Hospital.
