Stolen ink earns prison sentence

A 34-year-old Aberdeen man will spend the next 4 1/2 years in prison over a break-in in which he made off with a printer cartridge.

Christopher L. Taylor was sentenced to four years, seven months in prison Friday in Grays Harbor Superior Court.

He was sentenced for second-degree burglary April 3, when he broke into the office of a certified public accountant in the 2200 block of Simpson Avenue in Aberdeen. Several items were taken, including a new printer cartridge.

An Aberdeen Police Department officer responding to the call saw Taylor riding a BMX-style bicycle about a block and a half northeast of the scene, without a helmet or light.

The officer stopped Taylor, who was holding a printer cartridge matching the one taken in the burglary. The other items were found in his backpack.
