Several vehicle prowls were reported in Oakville over the weekend, the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office said.
Between Saturday night and Sunday morning, vehicles were broken into on Eagle, West Oak and Main streets. All the thefts involved unlocked vehicles. Items taken included stereo equipment, iPods, flashlights, tools and varous clothing items including Wrangler jeans, a heavy green jacket with a reflective white stripe and Jack in the Box jackets and uniforms.
Chief Criminal Deputy Steve Shumate said there are no suspects as of Monday morning.
“We encourage everyone to lock their vehicle doors when not in use and to not leave valuables in plain view,” Shumate wrote in a press release. “As always, anyone with information on these crimes is asked to contact the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Department at 360-249-3711.”
