Cellular Sales announced the grand opening of its new Verizon Wireless retail store Monday at 1210 E. Wishkah St. in Aberdeen. The Verizon store shares space with a new building that also houses furniture rent-to-own business Aaron’s.
The Verizon store actually opened on Nov. 26, in time for Black Friday and “created 12 new jobs, that were filled by people living in the area,” the release said.
“We opened right before Black Friday, so we were up and running right in time for the Christmas season,” Kris Cline, regional director at Cellular Sales said.
“We’re more than just a cell phone store, we’re a home solutions store,” said Jim Martin, regional director for Cellular Sales. “Our store’s products cover a wide range of categories, from DirecTV to internet hot spots.”
Cellular Sales was founded in 1993. It has approximately 570 stores and employs nearly 4,500 people nationwide. It is headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn.
