The Aberdeen City Council approved additional summer road repaving projects in West Aberdeen in the Transportation Benefit District Meeting that followed the regular council meeting Wednesday night.
Approved was a repave of Oak Street and Anderson Drive as well as Sixth and Willow streets. Engineers from the Public Works Department estimate the project will cost $310,000. Funding has been allocated through a sales and use tax approved by Aberdeen voters last year.
The projects were recommended to fill a “to be decided” slot in a multi-year citywide repaving project.
Bids will be advertised this month and construction is set to start in June.
