More than 100 students at Stevens Elementary School in Aberdeen took part in a two-mile fun run earlier this month. The runs are organized by Aberdeen High School students Kolby Shelton and Conor Stolen — who both attended Stevens — as a senior project. Their goal is to promote family fitness. This was the third run this year. The first had 70 students, the second had 90 and the latest one had 103. The class that has the most participants gets an extra PE class. The winning class (Mrs. Hatton’s 6th graders) had 26 participants. The run starts at the trail to Cosmopolis between Stevens and Miller Junior High, a two-mile loop.
