NASELLE — Cashing in heavily from the foul line in the fourth quarter, Naselle edged Lake Quinault in a non-league girls basketball opener Saturday at Naselle.

Powered by Romey Begay’s triple-double in rebounds, steals and blocked shots, the Elks led 21-15 at the half and took a 25-24 advantage into the fourth quarter.

The Comets, however, converted 8 of 15 free throws in the final stanza as both Begay and Hannah Allen fouled out.
