The bicyclist who collided with a Kitsap Transit bus 10 days ago on Highway 305 remains in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
On May 7, the 63-year-old Bainbridge Island woman was riding north in the shoulder heading toward Poulsbo at about 6:30 a.m., according to the State Patrol. As the bus began to pass her, she turned and ran into the side of it near Totten Road.
Troopers investigating the collision are seeking additional witnesses. Witnesses driving behind the bus believe there might have been another vehicle directly behind it, possibly a dark-colored Audi SUV. Troopers would like to speak with the driver. Call Trooper Kyle Dahl at 360-473-0300 with any information.
The bus driver, a 52-year-old Bremerton man, wasn’t hurt. He passed an alcohol test at the scene and further tests later at a medical facility, said Kitsap Transit executive director John Clauson.
