Carole June Monta of Aberdeen passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her bedside. She was 79.
Carole was born July 4, 1934, in Elma, Wash. She was raised in Elma and worked as a field supervisor for different bulb farms.
She married Clarence Monta and he survives her at the family home.
Carole was a big Seahawks fan; loved playing bingo and spending time with her family.
In addition to her loving husband, Clarence, she is also survived by her children, Ginger Perdue, Kenny and Larry Monta all of Aberdeen; Ted and Robin Monta both of Spanaway; Lenny Monta of Buckley and Bobby Monta of Olympia; brother, John Cross of Tacoma; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Velma Cross; and her son Terry Monta.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2014, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center.
