Charles R. Revel, 88, of Cosmopolis, has gone to be with his one and only love, Mary Alice. He passed away Saturday evening, July 19, 2014.
He leaves behind his children Harry Revel, Marti Hollingsworth, Lynn Crone, Charles Revel, Sheryl Sprague, Luella Hallberg, Dean Revel, Ami Revel, Mark Revel and their families which consists of spouses and 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many more extended family members.
In addition to his wife Mary Alice, two brothers, Joe Revel and Robert Tucker and two sisters, Luella Revel-Ashby and Julia Rylander died previously.
Chuck was hard-working, respected and a dedicated citizen of the city of Cosmopolis. He put in countless hours as a member of the Cosi Lions Club, city councilman and a volunteer for both the local police and fire departments. For 50-plus years he supported his family as a longshoreman. Known for being kind, passionate, loyal and positive, he believed anything could be fixed with duct tape, super glue and a lot of elbow grease.
An urn committal with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery in Cosmopolis, Wash. Later, please join us in celebrating his life at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, with a potluck following in the Church Parish Hall.
