Daniel Rollin Fairchild, 71,passed away in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on January 30, 2014. He was born on January 16, 1942, in Raymond, Wash., to Art and Eileen Fairchild. The family moved to Seattle in 1943, and to Hoquiam in 1951. Dan graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1961, and attended Grays Harbor College and Western Washington University. After college he lived and worked in the hospitality industry in Honolulu, Hawaii; Eugene, Oregon; Palm Springs, California; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Dan will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of sports, especially golf, and the and Seattle Seahawks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Virginia. He is survived by his sisters, Ann Winter of Olympia, Wash., and Pam McIntosh of Hillsboro, Ore. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
