Marjorie Despain

OCEAN SHORES — Marjorie M. Despain, a resident of Ocean Shores for the past 40 years, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at her home. She was 78.

For 16 years she was a sales clerk at the Washington State Liquor Store in Ocean Shores and for 10 years she worked at the Gallery Marjuli in Ocean Shores, retiring from there in 2012.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Juneau, Alaska.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Leighton “Gene” E. Ensley Jr.

OLYMPIA — Leighton “Gene” Eugene Ensley Jr. of Aberdeen died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 65.

Arrangements are by Forest Funeral Home in Olympia.

Kay Dayton

Longtime Harborite Kay P. Dayton, died on Monday, June 9, 2014, at home in Hoquiam. She was 69.

She was raised and attended school in various parts of Oregon and Washington.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13, at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, at the mortuary chapel. An inurnment service will follow at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.

The family has requested donations be made to the Copalis Crossing Fire Department, Fire District 16 Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 742, Copalis Crossing, WA 98536.

Enid S. Gundersen

Aberdeen resident Enid Swedie Gundersen died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her home in Aberdeen. She was 54.

There will be no services.

Cremation arrangements are by the Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Connie M. Banner

Longtime Cosmopolis resident Connie Marie Banner died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 66.

She was a registered nurse with the Department of Social & Health Services.

A memorial service will be held at the South Aberdeen Baptist Church at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
