Fredric P. Kogin
Fredric Paul Kogin, a longtime resident of Hoquiam, died Monday, July 21, 2014, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 78.
He had worked on the Harbor managing Capital Finance, National Bank of Commerce, Yaste Transport and Brunfield Twidwell Ford, had part interest in Johnston Ford and was a past owner of the Grizzly Den. His last position was as service representative for the Washington State Department of Veteran’s Affairs, retiring in June of 2103.
Details of an urn committal service at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Shrine Hospital for Children, 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97239 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Lucille E. Lasell, a longtime resident of the Harbor, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 97.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, in the chapel at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
