Dolores (“Dee”) Del Woods, 84, of Olympia, passed away on January 29, 2014, in Olympia. Dee was born in Westport, to Bill and Bonnie Wade on July 7, 1929. She went to school at Ocosta. She married Robert Lyle Woods on August 31, 1947, in Westport.
Dolores, Bob and their three children moved to Seattle in 1953. She worked as a laboratory technician at Bar-S for eight years. Dee worked in the air freight office of United Airlines for 15 years, and later became a real estate agent for RE/MAX. When she and Bob retired they moved back to Westport, where she was an elder in the Presbyterian Church.
Dee is preceded in death by her brother, Bill Wade Jr.; and two grandchildren, Tara and Devin.
Dee is survived by her husband Bob; son, Bob Jr. and wife, Mary; son, Greg and wife, Carolynne; daughter, Valarie Matinjussi and husband Robert; three grandchildren, Danielle, Emmet and Delaine; and two great grandchildren, Dillon and Dakota.
Dolores was a devoted wife to Bob for 66 years. She was hard working, fun loving, and a helpful friend to many. We will always remember her optimistic nature and witty spirit. Dee is well loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Sequoia Assisted Living, and the people of Providence Hospice Care. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday March 7, 2014, at Sequoia Assisted Living - 825 Lilly Rd NE, Olympia. Donations may be given to Hospice.
