Elsie Sharon Chiles, a lifelong Elma resident, passed-away Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, in Elma. She was 47. Elsie was born June 15, 1967, in Aberdeen to Frederick and Leona (Brown) Krausse. She grew up and attended school in Elma. Elsie went on to achieve her Masters Degree and became an educator where she taught 3rd grade at Elma Elementary School. Elsie was married to Shawn Chiles in Elma on July 22, 2000. He survives her at the family home. Elsie loved horses and horseback riding, gardening and she was a huge Seahawk fan. She really enjoyed Richard Sherman.
Along with her husband, Shawn Chiles of Elma, Elsie is survived by her son, Aaron Butler (25) and her daughter, Haley Chiles (13), both also of Elma. She is also survived by three brothers, Brian Krausse of Portland, Ore., Jeff Krausse of Ephrata, Wash., and Ron Krausse of Republic, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Richard and Robert Krausse. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at the Alliance Church in Elma.
