Frances Sara Munn was born November 15, 1925, to John and Dorothy Munn, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and passed away peacefully at home in Snohomish, Wash., on December 16, 2013, at the age of 88.
Frances married Leonard Hunt on May 25, 1948, in Potlatch, Idaho, and they raised their family of four children and resided in the Lake Quinault area for 50 years. Frances was a long-time employee of the Lake Quinault School District and Mayr’s Logging Company.
After Leonard’s death in 1998, Frances moved to the Everett area where she lived for 15 years, spending the last three years with her daughter, Jan, and son-in-law Denley, in their Snohomish home.
Frances is survived by her loving children, Phyllis (Mark) Giovanelli of Iowa City, Iowa, Leonard (Diane) Hunt of Howards Grove, Wis., Jan (Denley) Larson of Snohomish, and David (Debbee) Hunt of Hoquiam, Wash. She is survived by 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Phyllis Munn of Las Vegas, Nev., and Emily Jones of Hickory, N.C.; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Hunt; her parents, John and Dorothy Munn; brothers, Donald and John Munn; sisters, Jeanette Munn and Isabelle Melius, brothers-in-law, Frank Melius and Morgan Jones; and sister-in-law, Ruth Munn.
Frances’s faith and love for the Lord was first place in her life which brought her much hope, peace and thankfulness. Her enjoyment of reading her Bible, meditation and fellowship was the focal point of her life.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 11 a.m., at Machias Elementary School (231 147th Ave. S.E., Snohomish, WA), followed by a potluck fingerfood lunch. Her graveside service will be on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the Wynooche Cemetary (1500 W. Pioneer Ave.) in Montesano, Wash., followed by a potluck fingerfood luncheon at the Montesano Senior Center at 120 W. Marcy, Montesano, Washington.
